Course #1 - Foundations of Biblical Counseling course is designed for individuals or church groups to train certified Biblical lay counselors. The Foundations of Biblical Counseling training course covers 23 topics during each 45-minute (approximately.) lesson of material, a downloadable 200-page Biblical counseling notebook, and printable resources as part of the assignments/activities for completing. The \"Practical Change Assignments\" will help you apply the scripture to your counseling ministry. This course gives you \"the why\" to counsel one another, a model for structuring a counseling session, and then practice with the most common issues.

Course #2 - Portraits of Biblical Counseling course contains actual observations of real counseling sessions filmed with two cameras, one viewing the counselor and the other viewing the counselee, so that you, the trainee, can see how a counseling session progresses. These are interspersed within the course at the point where we feel you will benefit most from observing that session. You will fill out observation forms for each.

Course #3 - Then you continue in our Contemporary Issues course, covering various issues we regularly see in our counseling offices. There are printable notes. You will learn the Biblical perspective on how to address each issue. You will have earned your Lay Counseling Level Certificate by finishing all three of these courses.

Cost - Our classes is $150 each, but you can get the whole course path for only $375 ($75 discount) or we also offer a payment for $37.50 per month (which, for 12 months, would be $450 total, and you must cancel the payments after you're done with the course to avoid continued charges). You have 1 year to complete this course.

After you finish, we hope you will continue learning through our developing Advanced Certificate - Level 2! Many of you are already on track to flow right into Level 2, which can begin as soon as your final exams for Level 1 Foundations and Contemporary Issues are both approved.

Participants are encouraged to continue on from BCC's Lay certificate program to become certified through ACBC.
